The first guest judge for RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 has finally been announced. Back in October, Mamma Ru and BBC Three announced that the beloved UK spinoff would return for a fourth season. “If you think you got what it takes to be the UK’s next Drag Superstar, well, I want to hear from you,” Ru said in the video announcement.
Over the last few months, World of Wonder has remained quiet regarding the show’s premiere date, its new batch of queens and celebrity guest judges.
However on 21 July, Ru revealed that Sex Education star Hannah Waddingham would be joining the judges’ panel for season 4. The exciting news was announced during Ru’s recent stint as a guest host of the long-running late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
At the start of the interview, Ru informed the audience that the two had met months prior. “Now we know each other… because?” Ru questioned before Waddingham replied: “[Because] I’m a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.” After receiving roaring applause from the audience, The Game of Thrones star then discussed the excitement she felt while filming the show. “I mean, I was giddy as all hell about that.
