The story of teenage girl Cady (English Bernhardt) who lived in Kenya because her mother works there for some reason is uprooted to Chicago where she has to deal with paved streets, smartphones and high school fashion.
There she meets the gay boy Damian (Eric Huffman) and outsider chick Janis (Mary Kate Morrissey) who welcome her with open arms and genuine interest.
