Three men shouted homophobic abuse at a 37-year-old in the heart of London before pushing him into the road and attacking him.

The incident happened at around 2.15am on Tuesday 3 March, before Britain entered coronavirus lockdown. However, police are now appealing for information about the attack, which they are treating as a homophobic assault.

They have arrested three men but are continuing to investigate the attack. The incident happened in Piccadilly Circus, near the LGBT+ district of Soho.
