Most of the original film's stars would have been in the sequel ... (Image via screengrab) Jim Fall has gifted us with a video of the 2018 screenplay reading of Trick 2, the never-realized sequel to his 1999 gay classic Trick.
He writes that the project was “stalled indefinitely three years ago for reasons beyond my control or my comprehension,” but at least we have this, the screenplay and a Kickstarter video: Trick made $2M at the box office a hundred years ago when that was possible for indie gay comedies. (Note: Bros, with full, major-studio support, made $11.6M in the U.S. — but indie Trick's haul amounts to $3.6M in 2023 dollars.)
