Amanda Abbington has reportedly provided new evidence to the BBC concerning her experience with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice during her time on Strictly Come Dancing. The internal inquiry into the allegations of bullying by the Sherlock actress against Pernice has been a hot topic for some time, with Giovanni consistently refuting any claims of misconduct.Despite the investigation appearing to be in its final stages in the near future, Abbington, 50, has dramatically altered its trajectory with the introduction of fresh evidence, including what has been described as "bombshell" messages. An insider told The Sun: "It has turned the course of the probe." These messages supposedly reveal that Giovanni's behaviour during rehearsal sessions leading up to the live performances deviated significantly from the standards expected of the dance professionals.
Yet, according to reports, the inquiry hasn't cast Amanda in the best light either, the Mirror reports. The source added: "The investigation is set to conclude this week but it has been made more difficult by the new disclosure from Amanda.
It has turned the course of the probe. It seemed Giovanni would be cleared but this new information has changed everything again."An insider has claimed: "Giovanni, it seems now, did appear to step over the line of what is acceptable for a BBC representative but more discussions need to be had."They continued: "Every time they seem to reach a conclusion, something else gets thrown in that throws the investigation in a new direction."These remarks follow Amanda's formal complaint against the Italian dancer, accusing him of being "abusive, cruel and mean."Her claims have also prompted an additional complaint from Laura Whitmore, who partnered with Giovanni in 2016 on Strictly. It's understood that during the probe, six more individuals were approached for their input.
