Cynthia Nixon has opened up about her son Samuel’s gender journey.The Sex and the City actress told The Times that, when Samuel came out as trans while a university student, it seemingly ‘came out of nowhere’.Asked if she had any insight into Sam’s gender identity beforehand, the star replied: ‘No, not at all. ‘It did seem in my view to come absolutely out of nowhere.
Sometimes I think it would be easier if you had a child who dressed more obviously like the opposite gender.’Cynthia is a mother to Sam, 23, Charles, 17 and Max, nine.She co-parents Samuel and Charles with ex-partner Danny Mozes.
She welcomed Max with wife Christine Marioni, who she married in 2012.The 54-year-old also told the publication that she fully supports Sam’s gender.
