Doctor Who's John Barrowman says next Doctor 'could be gay or bisexual'

John Barrowman has told that the next Doctor could be gay or bisexual. The Captain Jack Harkness star, who's come in and out of the BBC time-travelling romp since its 2005 reboot, said that the Doctor's sexuality "doesn't matter" to the audience.

John, who last year landed a spot on the Dancing On Ice judges' bench, also refused to rule out a romance between him and the titular Time Lord.

The Doctor - an alien who can change his/her face - is recast every three or so series.
