I wondered what I’d find at the second annual Pocono Pride Fest in Stroudsburg, PA (population 27,000), close to where I’ve been holing up since the pandemic began.I was there with a message: My super-progressive Episcopal church not only “accepts” LGBTQ people, we celebrate them.

While the pandemic put an enormous strain on the film and television industry, things are finally getting back to where they used to be, but things are even gayer!With Sapphic vampires, queer Pride and Prejudice retellings, reboots of queer classics, and so much more, this Pride Month may just have a little something for everyone.While the original versions of Queer as Folk took the LGBTQ+ community by storm, the original incantations truly only showed a very white, cis-gender side of the queer community, which the new reboot aims to change. In the same fashion as the original, the reboot will be a very queer show that doesn’t stray away from serious topics, including what seems to be a Pulse-shooting inspired plot, but promises to center on queer joy.Fin Argus, Devin Way, Johnny Sibilly, Ryan O'Connell, Candace Grace, and Jesse James Keitel will lead the reboot, with Benito Skinner, Kim Catrall, and more set to guest star. While only time will tell the impact this reboot will have, let's hope it captures queer magic like its predecessors. A girl next-in-line to fill her monster hunting family’s shoes finds herself in love with a girl who happens to be a vampire. If you are a former Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan like myself, then your ears probably perked up, for good reason. The trailer for the show sets up a war between two families destined to be enemies with the sapphic yearning amped up to the max, making this one another to add to the watch list.While Halloween is not for some time, sapphic star-crossed lovers are timeless.One of the most anticipated queer films in recent years, Fire Island takes Pride and Prejudice and lets it take a huff of poppers while wearing only a jockstrap dancing to Lady Gaga, which frankly

These are LGBTQ officers who are not only gay but have consciously chosen their profession as a SFPD officer. We, as a community, have fought for decades to be able to be open and proud within departments of government like the police, firefighters, sheriffs, and other government agencies as well as elected officials.

We're glad that San Francisco Pride officials and the San Francisco Police Officers Pride Alliance reached a compromise that will allow LGBTQ peace officers and other first responders to proudly march in the June 26 parade, albeit with only the leaders and command staff in uniform. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors voted unanimously June 7 to support the designation of an intersection in the Transgender District as a historic landmark.The intersection of Turk and Taylor streets is the former site of Compton's Cafeteria where, in August 1966, a groundbreaking riot by transgender people tired of being harassed by police took place, three years before the Stonewall riots in New York City.Introduced by former District 6 Supervisor Matt Haney, who has since resigned after he was sworn in as a state assemblymember May 3, the effort was inherited by District 5 Supervisor Dean Preston after the Turk and Taylor streets intersection moved into District 5 as a result of redistricting. Preston's office then contacted the Transgender District's leadership to find out which issues were on their agenda, said Preston legislative aide Kyle Smeallie in May.

It can’t be because they are Christian because Jesus loved everybody.

The Boys‘ third season, we’re thinking we should be more careful about what we wish for.Amazon Prime Video’s bawdy comic book adaptation is known for its wicked sense of humor, never passing up the opportunity to exploit its character’s super powers for body horror and other shocking explosions of blood and guts. But The Boys may have outdone itself in its third season premiere, introducing us to a man with the ability to shrink himself, and then taking that to sexual and violent extremes.This isn’t your grandparents’ Ant-Man.Spoilers ahead for The Boys’ season 3 episode “Payback”…Early in the episode, we’re introduced to Brett Geddes’ Termite—the aforementioned “Supe”—first seen at the height of a doll, miming sex with a Barbie for the enjoyment of the guests at his drug-fueled party.

Throughout five episodes, she oversees (and  frequently lends a hand or a sledgehammer) as each room in the motel is turned from wrecked to chic, in the theme of her choosing that represents her unique and eclectic style.
