Germany passes landmark law making legal gender change easier

Legislators in Germany have voted in favour of the Self-Determination Act, making it easier for transgender, intersex and non-binary people to change their name and gender on official documents.

After controversial debates, the law was passed with 374 delegates voting in favour, against 251 no-votes and 11 abstentions.
