Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer broke her silence regarding her liking and commenting on an Instagram post that criticised non-binary people.

The now-deleted post appeared to blame the non-binary community for the adoption of more conservative laws impacting trans medical rights in Florida.

The actress liked the post and left several exclamation points in the comments section. Fans expressed their outrage at what was believed to be the 23-year-old agreeing with the content of the post.

On 6 September, Schafer uploaded a series of snaps to her Instagram and captioned the post: “bye summer see u next year.” She then added an additional comment to the post, where she addressed the backlash she received for her previous actions.
