Phil Collins performed his farewell show at London's O2 Arena on Saturday (March 26) with a hoard of celebrities and fans packed into the large venue. One of those looking on in awe, was his daughter, Emily In Paris star Lily Collins who was supporting her father as well as her brother, Nic, who plays the drums for the rock band.Nic joined the group after Phil's health condition left being unable to hold a drum stick after undergoing surgery on a dislocated vertebrae in his neck. Now aged 71, the Chiswick-born star has bowed out of the music business after he was left unable to walk following a back operation, resulting in him having to use a chair during performances.Reflecting on the concert, Lily took to social media sharing a string of behind-the-scenes snaps taken from the side of the stage, as well as her VIP seat. She said: "Tonight marks the end of an era.
To have witnessed this last show was truly the memory of a lifetime and an event I shall hold in my heart forever."Endlessly grateful doesn’t begin to do it justice.
So much love was left on that O2 stage and an even bigger amount shared between an audience who didn’t want it to end."The star went on to add: "Thank you @genesis_band for the memories, thank you dad for being such an inspiration and thank you @nic_collins for making me the proudest sister there is."50 years of songs later and still generations more to celebrate you long after this tour has finished…"Her upload which has since raked in over 410,000 likes was soon flooded with messages from Phil's adoring fans, with one saying: "What an amazing experience.""What an ASTOUNDING career and body of work.
