Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett said a wedding venue turned him away because of his sexuality. The actor — best known for playing Aaron Samuels, the crush of Lindsay Lohan's character in Mean Girls — got engaged to his Celebrity Page TV host fiancé Jaymes Vaughan in November last year.

Their wedding dreams were initially shattered when they were told they couldn't host their ceremony at the resort they first had in mind because they are gay.

Jonathan admitted it was a "sucker punch to the gut" to find out they couldn't marry at their dream location in sunny Mexico.

He told The Knot magazine : "When we got engaged, the owner said he couldn’t marry us because we’re two men and it goes against his morals.
