Paige Spiranac has slammed Justin Thomas after the American used a homophobic slur. Thomas uttered the highly-offensive word ‘f*****t’ after missing a putt at the Tournament of Champions, with Spiranac saying the slur should ‘never be tolerated’.

His foul language was picked up by microphones on the course on Saturday night, with the world No.3 golfer subsequently apologising for his use of the word, admitting he was ‘embarrassed’ by his actions.
