A girl who was murdered by a family friend at her family’s Chinese takeaway never found out she had passed all of her exams with As, according to her devastated parents.

Wenjing Lin, was choked to death by killer Chun Xu at the Blue Sky takeaway before he tried to murder the girl’s stepfather after luring him to the basement of the building.

Xu, 32, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of murdering the 16-year-old girl and attempted murder of her stepfather at court on Tuesday.

Yongquan Jiang Yang, the girl’s stepfather was attacked by Xu with two knives in what was described as a “repeated and vicious attack”.
