The Circle runner-up Freddie Bentley was reportedly arrested after defending himself from a group of men shouting homophobic slurs at him.
Freddie, 24, shot to fame on the 2018 series of the show, and was said to have been recognised while out in Essex over the weekend.
Allegedly the men referred to him as “the gay c*** from the telly”, sparking Freddie to respond and defend himself. "At first I tried to ignore it, thinking 'I'm better than them, ignore it'," Freddie told The Sun of the ordeal. "But they kept shouting over at me.
I went over and said 'are you talking to me?' "I felt so threatened and intimidated that I knew I had to stand up for myself.” The reality TV star went on to say that he felt “attacked” because he was on his own at the time and, as a result, “lost [his] head” and threw a drink over them.
