The Rainbow Social is back on Sat 18 June (Pics: Siphokazi Marivate) The Rainbow Social returns on Saturday 18 June at The Nest in Joburg for what will be an annual Pride BLOC Party, in partnership with Flying Fish, Converse and Strawberry Lips. The Rainbow Social has been creating safe spaces and curating unique experiences for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies where they can feel seen, loved, affirmed and held for the past two years. “Safety, authenticity, community, self-expression and freedom is the cornerstone that builds the environment we create,” says Founder and Curator, Landa Willie. “The BLOC Party and all our previous events aim to reinforce the message of community, love and Pride.” What to expect on the day? A day of great music by your favourite DJs, a live performance by singer and songwriter, Muneyi, and delicious food and drinks.
Some Rainbow Social friends that will be playing your favourite tunes include Muneyi, Ms Party, Lula Odiba, Kat Upendi, Lamiez Holworthy, Your Uncle Garry and Likkyliks. #FlowWithIt on the dancefloor In the name of spreading the love, the first 200 guests will receive complimentary cocktails courtesy of Flying Fish.
