Primavera’s first weekend back in action since 2019 saw headline performances from Tame Impala, Beck and Gorillaz. The second weekend of Primavera Sound, however, was rightfully branded (unofficially) as the festival’s queer weekend.
With artists including Dua Lipa, Megan Thee Stallion, Lorde, Ashnikko and Jessie Ware making their way over to Barcelona to perform for the second weekend, the Barcelona-based festival was populated with members of the LGBTQ+ community.
Between the festival’s two main weekends, there were a range of concerts at more intimate venues in and around the city. For PC music’s showcase at the venue Razzmatazz, Charli XCX made an appearance while A.G.
Cook played her fan-favourite track Focus. Simultaneously in the club’s room next door, Megan Thee Stallion was “WAPPING” on the stage, warming up for her headline slot the following Sunday.
