Netflix has finally unveiled the first official trailer for Young Royals season two. Premiering 1 November on the streamer, the official synopsis for the season reads: “A winter break has passed, and Prince Wilhelm and the rest of his classmates are back at Hillerska. “When Wilhelm tries to take revenge on August, and win back Simon’s trust, he creates problems that threaten the entire monarchy.” Season two will see the return of Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm of Sweden, Omar Rudberg as Simon Eriksson, Malte Gårdinger as August of Årnäs, Frida Argento as Sara Eriksson and Nikita Uggla as Felice Ehrencrona.
In the latest issue of GAY TIMES, Edvin and Omar said they’re “nervous” as to how the season will be received by viewers because of the scandalous new storylines. “I had a lot of fun during season one and, ahead of season two, I was pretty anxious beforehand because I had a long period of time where I didn’t understand why he did what he did this season,” teased Edvin. “I thought, ‘How will I be able to defend this, as an actor?’ But then I realised I shouldn’t defend this.
This is Wilhelm, he’s coming from this place and this is the way he reacts to it. Once I figured that out, it was super fun.” Omar “fucking screamed with happiness” when he read the new scripts, with the actor adding: “Like, give some drama!
