Billy Eichner is back with a new Billy on the Street to promote his movie Bros with help from Paul Rudd and, as Eichner says, “a pack of wild lesbians.”Eichner stops various New Yorkers in hopes of extracting a promise to see the gay rom-com, which opens September 30.
All the main roles are played by LGBTQ+ actors. In the video, the first edition of Billy on the Street in three years, Eichner seeks to persuade passersby to tell “famous and beloved straight man” Rudd that they’ll go to the film.
The pair — and the “wild lesbians” joining Eichner in the latter part of the segment — have varying degrees of success. One man appears put off when Eichner tells him there’s a lot of gay sex in the movie.
One woman turns Eichner away by saying “I’m sorry,” to which he responds, “I’m sorry I’m not Florence Pugh!” When Rudd stops to admire another woman’s eyeglasses, Eichner is eager to move on, saying he’s got a movie to sell.
