The National Football Museum’s Hall of Fame is to induct Justin Fashanu, the UK’s only openly-gay soccer star, 22 years after his death.
A ceremony tomorrow at the museum in central Manchester will recognize Fashanu who came out in 1990. Thirty years after that, he remains the only openly gay or bisexual male professional footballer.
