Jonathan Groff is making it known that he’s single! The 39-year-old actor shared his relationship status while on stage at the Out/Advocate Pride Cover Party 2024: Pride of Broadway event on Monday (June 3) in New York City. Jonathan was joined at the event by fellow Broadway stars Tituss Burgess and Wayne Brady, as well as weatherman Sam Champion.

I’m feeling full of pride… and PrEP,” Jonathan said to a lot of laughs and cheers. Pre-exposure prophylaxis (or PrEP) is medicine taken to prevent getting HIV.

PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV when taken as prescribed, according to the CDC. In a recent interview, Jonathan shared his coming out story and explained how a famous ex-boyfriend was involved.
