Sing Sing in theaters—now that the hit A24 film has been re-released nationwide. In a historic move, A24 is showing the film simultaneously in cinemas and correctional facilities.
Sing Sing was a critical acclaim upon its initial release in the United States in July 2024. The film will also be screened in correctional facilities across 46 states—the first time in history that a movie has had a dual release in theaters and prisons.
The decision to make the movie available in prisons has been praised, seeing that it allows the film’s moving message of rehabilitation and redemption to reach the audiences most directly impacted by its subject matter.
