Perth ’s own Lily Douglas has been honoured with a Pride of Scotland Award. The 13-year-old, who has been in everybody’s thoughts for the last four years as she has courageously battled with cancer, met an array of stars at the awards ceremony on Wednesday.The St John’s RC Academy pupil was invited to go to Edinburgh for a glittering bash on Wednesday night to receive her prize - the Teenager of Courage award.The recognition comes to her following her decision to walk to raise money for NHS charities in honour of Captain Tom Moore, the amazing former soldier who did laps of his garden with his walking frame.When Tom died earlier this year, Lily was moved to make an effort herself.Dancer Lily has Ewing’s Sarcoma, a bone and soft tissue.
