While Gloria is not the first City of San Diego mayor to have an LGBTQ Advisory Board, he is the City's first openly-gay Mayor.Twelve LGBTQ San Diegans were appointed to the board:Approximately half of the members served on previous Mayor Kevin Faulconer's LGBTQ Advisory Board.
