Mercedes have made a cosmetic update to their W13 for the next three Grands Prix that take place at Baku, Montreal and Silverstone.

The iconic Mercedes star will change from the trademark black on the Silver Arrows, to the ‘Pride Star’ which dons the colours of the rainbow to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community during Pride Month. Lewis Hamilton, who is known for his human rights work and support for the LGBTQ+ community away from the racetrack, was delighted with the changes to the car.

He shared a reel from Mercedes’ official Instagram account, showing the Pride Star being installed, with the seven-time World Champion saying: “Let’s use it for the rest of the year. ”Toto Wolff’s team are once again showing why they are different class off the track as well as on it.

Their support for the LGBTQ+ community doesn’t stop there. The nose of the W13 will have the Pride Star proudly displayed, with both Hamilton and George Russell having it on their helmets all month to help further their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
