Oak Lawn prepares for possible rioting; Texas governor, Dallas mayor declare emergencies

As Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott today (Sunday, May 31) both issued state of emergency declarations, bars and other businesses in Oak Lawn — just now beginning to reopen after the COVID-19 shutdown — are beginning to board up windows in preparation for what could be a third night of rioting across Dallas.
