Kanye West’s independent presidential campaign is getting a major boost from Republican operatives and an attorney representing President Donald Trump, according to multiple news reports.
As of Wednesday afternoon West, 43, has filed paperwork to appear on the November ballot in Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
On Tuesday, a Wisconsin attorney who has been representing Trump in a lawsuit over a political television advertisement was caught on video by a local reporter dropping off West’s campaign paperwork.
The attorney, later identified as Lane Ruhland, told the reporter in the video: “No comment.” Ruhland specializes in campaign finance and election law and represented the Republican
