The Senate race between Angela Alsobrooks and Larry Hogan should be a slam dunk, and I actually think it is. I believe Marylanders understand the difference between electing a Republican governor, and a Republican senator.
A governor can be constrained by a legislature and Hogan fought a Democratic legislature on many issues. He won some battles, but was constrained and never could get his own way totally.
There was a give and take, which can be a good thing even though I think Marylanders made a mistake by electing him. But the Senate is a totally different animal.
If Marylanders elect Hogan to the Senate, they could actually be screwing the entire country. The way the Senate works is the majority controls the committees and the agenda.
