A production insider opened up about the decision to cut Denzel Washington‘s same-sex kiss from Gladiator II.

Earlier this week, the 69-year-old actor revealed that he had filmed a scene where he kissed another man for the sequel to the 2000 Oscar-winner.

The scene did not make it to the final cut of the movie. He joked that the studio was too “chicken” to keep the moment in. However, according to someone involved with the production that was not the case.
