Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin (born 7 October 1952) is a Russian politician and former intelligence officer who has served as President of Russia since 2012, previously holding the position from 1999 until 2008. He was also the Prime Minister of Russia from 1999 to 2000 and again from 2008 to 2012.
Interfax. The Moscow Times reports Mizulina also said the bill bans adoption by trans people.Same-sex unions are not recognized in Russia, but a loophole currently exists in the country’s Family Code that has been used in the past to grant official recognition to same-sex unions registered abroad.
The legislation proposed Tuesday will close that loophole.Earlier this month voters approved a series of amendments to the country’s constitution, including one defining marriage as only between a man and woman.
Another of the amendments resets the start of term limits for Putin, meaning he can serve an additional two terms as president, lasting until 2036.
