The latest trailer for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse featured an inclusive message for the trans community. On 4 April, Marvel fans were treated to the second full-length trailer for the highly anticipated animated film.
While the brief teaser was full of eye-opening interactions and action-packed sequences, it also featured a brief LGBTQ+ inclusive easter egg.
In a somber scene featuring Spider-Gwen, the young hero is shown reflecting on her friendship with Miles Morales, aka Spider-Man, while seated in what appears to be her bedroom.
While the scene offered a glimpse into the film’s emotional stakes, it also included some great trans allyship by featuring a ‘Protect Trans Kids’ sign above Gwen’s bedroom door.
