Well, it’s about time.The trailer for singer George Michael’s long-awaited documentary biopic, Freedom Uncut has finally arrived, bringing with it the story of his career, and the scandal that almost cost him everything.George Michael first burst onto the music scene as half of the singing duo Wham!
in the 1980s. Their songs “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Freedom,” among others, became international hits and remain radio staples to this day.
In 1987, he went solo, finding success with the tunes “Faith” and “I Want Your Sex.” By the 1990s, he’d become one of the most successful recording artists of his day.
That all threatened to evaporate in 1998 when police arrested him in a Beverly Hills public bathroom for engaging in a “lewd act” with an undercover officer.
