An update regarding the future of HBO Max’s new LGBTQ+ inclusive Green Lantern series has finally been revealed. Over the last couple of weeks, DC fans were put through the wringer after Warner Bros.

and Discovery cancelled numerous DC-related projects. On 2 August, the studio axed the highly anticipated Batgirl movie despite the film being in post-production edits.

A few days later, Kevin Smith’s Strange Adventures, which was set to follow lesser-known DC characters, was also cut from the production schedule.

Due to the sudden cancellations, fans have worried that HBO Max’s upcoming Green Lantern series would also face the chopping block.
