Mattea Roach is now number five in the most consecutive games won in Jeopardy history. With 21 games won, she is the second on the list for women.
Ken Jennings heads the list with 74 consecutive wins followed by Amy Schneider with 40 games, Matt Amodio with 38 and James Holzhauer with 32.
The news comes as Roach has crossed the $500,000 mark in earnings.As of the close of her 21st game, Roach has won a whopping $506,584.
This puts her at number six in the list of highest winnings during regular-season play on the series. If she wins tonight, she will likely surpass Jason Zuffranieri who is sitting in the number five slot with $532,496.“I am still playing every game like I’m just so lucky to be here,” Mattea told Jeopardy after her 18th win. “This has so far exceeded my wildest imaginings.”The 23-year-old tutor is the show's most successful Canadian.Roach has made a name for herself and is the latest in a line of out LGBTQ+ contestants on the show.
