Cara Delevingne has joined Shailene Woodley in the upcoming Patrica Highsmith’s new biopic. The new film – which is titled The Murderous Miss Highsmith – is set to follow the beloved author’s early life and career beginnings just before she wrote her famous novel, The Talented Mr Ripley – which is based on her love affair with two women (per Deadline).
Woodley has signed on to play the Highsmith with Delevingne and Portrait Of A Lady On Fire star Noémie Merlant playing her lovers.
However unlike other biopics, the upcoming project will reportedly be shot like a horror film and showcase Highsmith’s interest in violent murders.
In addition to the horror aspect of the movie, The Murderous Miss Highsmith will also take a deep look into how the American novelist’s intense love life shaped her persona.
