The Long Beach Pride Festival will take place July 8-10, and the Long Beach Pride Parade will happen July 10. Long Beach Pride said earlier this year that the festival and parade would be rescheduled to later in the year. “This year’s Long Beach Pride will be our biggest, and will become the gold standard for Pride festivals across the globe,” Elsa Martinez, president of Long Beach Pride, said in a statement. “For us to tell our story in a way that honors the struggle, celebrates the community, and captivates new generations while showcasing our history, we will engage our audience in a variety of ways.” Tickets, available online, range from $30 to $90 plus service fees.
A circuit dance pavilion will be added to this year. Scheduled DJs include Alexander, Alex Acosta, Kidd Madonny, Nina Flowers, and Tony Moran.
In addition to performances by Iggy Azalea and Natalie Jiménez, the festival stages will spotlight Sonora Tropicana, Amoro Prohibido Band (a Selena tribute band), Gia Banks (“Legendary”) and hip-hop singer-actress YoYo, among others.
