a moment like this for the rest of her life.Kelly Clarkson can add the title of “wedding witness” to her impressive resume after the Grammy-winning singer helped marry a gay couple during her Las Vegas residency on New Year’s Eve.

In a video posted to X, the couple, who were identified as Bronx Health Sciences High School assistant principal Brian Artzt and Marcello Cialini, can be seen explaining to the “Since U Been Gone” singer that they wanted her to serve as a witness in their ceremony.“Oh, it is tonight!

With me,” Clarkson, 41, can be heard saying excitedly. A third man, who was serving as the couple’s officiant, was then handed the “Breakaway” singer’s microphone and urged him to “say something.” “We gather here today to celebrate with two lovely gentlemen who want to claim their love tonight forever,” the officiant began while Clarkson looked on with a massive smile and the crowd yelled its approval. “Brian, do you take Marcello to be your lawful wedded husband forever till death do you part for the rest of your life,” the man asked prompting Brian to agree.

The officiant then turned to Marcello and asked the man the same question. Affirming their commitment to each other, the officiant then declared: “By the power of Kelly Clarkson’s show, Las Vegas, New Year’s 2024, I pronounce you both husband and husband.”The “Stronger” singer then wished the newlyweds good luck before returning to her performance.

I certainly have not lived the life that gay men used to have to live.
