We’re big fans of the London Gay Men’s Chorus here – the 200-strong company has now been performing for more than 30 years, with several international tours, a whole host of major collaborations and numerous albums under their many belts.
They’re currently in rehearsals for a new concert, ‘Proud’, which will be performed at London’s Cadogan Hall on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th June, the weekend before the city’s Pride celebrations.
These are their first major concerts since October’s Halloween Ball extravaganza at the iconic Alexandra Palace. Arriving in London during Pride month, this original concert will feature a vibrant and eclectic soundtrack that celebrates the power of the human journey as it battles against adversity.
Themes including sexuality, religion and addiction will be examined through the power of song, with the idea of the ‘coming out’ journey being considered through a variety of lenses.
