Long-running children’s show Sesame Street has been celebrating Pride all month long, and despite angry rage posts from bigoted homophobes, the show continues to use its social media accounts to show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The show of solidarity comes at a time where some corporations have backed away from their public support of LGBTQ+ rights and Pride Month, including Bud Light and Target.
Despite the hate shown by some bigots, the overwhelming response has been positive with many responding with love for the show and gratitude for the support.
The much-beloved show posted: “On our street, we celebrate inclusion, belonging and freedom of authentic self-expression. Happy #PrideMonth to all the people in our neighborhoods.” That post received over 133k shares on Facebook alone.
