Dunja Mijatovic, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, has release a statement in support of International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), which takes place on Sunday, May 17.

The statement is as follows:  ‘As we prepare to mark IDAHOBIT, I call on all member states of the Council of Europe to take firm action against hate speech targeting LGBTQ+ people, which is dangerously spreading across Europe.
