The Market on the Strip has been setting up tents for merchants who sell a variety of crafts and other goods on Throckmorton Street on Sundays from 1-6 p.m.
The owners of the restaurant Crickles complained that the weekly event was blocking their door and they were losing customers as well as parking spaces in front of their business.
They went to their councilman, Paul Ridley, and complained that the market was impeding traffic into their entrance. Ridley took the complaint to the city hall office that issues event permits and their permit was not renewed.
During the summer, S4 had begun hosting the market on some of the hottest days and has now offered to host the event on Sundays through the end of the year.
