Pose, Lil Nas X, Power Rangers, and More Win GLAAD Awards
Pose, Lil Nas X, Today, Power Rangers, Sesame Street, and Dawn Ennis were among the award recipients at the 33rd Annual GLAAD Media Awards in New York City Friday night.Winners in 16 of this year’s 30 categories were announced at the ceremony at the New York Hilton Midtown.
Additional recipients, including The Advocate, were announced at a ceremony April 2 in Los Angeles. There were also several special awards.
The awards honor media for fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of LGBTQ+ people and issues.Judith Light received GLAAD’s Excellence in Media Award from Ariana DeBose, and Wilson Cruz received the Vito Russo Award at the star-studded ceremony.
The event was hosted by celebrity Peloton instructor Cody Rigbsy and transgender recording artist, actress, GLAAD board member, and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Peppermint.
