(CNN) – Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with seven more sexual offenses, United Kingdom police have said.The 63-year-old actor was charged on Tuesday with multiple sexual offenses against the same man between 2001 and 2004, London’s Metropolitan Police said in a statement to CNN on Wednesday.The United Kingdom’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said it had authorized the additional charges “for multiple sexual assaults against one man between 2001 and 2004.”“The CPS has also authorized one charge of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent,” Rosemary Ainslie, head of the CPS Special Crime Division, said in the statement.Spacey is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London on December 16.CNN has contacted the actor’s representatives for comment.In July, Spacey pleaded not guilty in a London court to four charges of sexual assault and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent. (CNN) — [Breaking news update, published at 4:12 p.m. ET]In a victory for Kevin Spacey, a New York jury has found him not liable for battery on allegations he picked up actor Anthony Rapp and briefly laid on top of him in a bed after a party in 1986.[Original story, published at 2:50 p.m. ET]Closing arguments are underway in the civil sexual misconduct trial against Kevin Spacey, stemming from allegations made by actor Anthony Rapp.Best known for his role in "Star Trek: Discovery," Rapp claims that in 1986, Spacey, then 26, invited Rapp, then 14, to his Manhattan home where he picked Rapp up, laid him down on his bed, grabbed his buttocks and pressed his groin into Rapp's body without his consent.He is suing Spacey for battery.Judge Lewis Kaplan dismissed Rapp's claim of assault before the trial started and dismissed his claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress after Rapp's attorneys rested his case, leaving the jury to decide only the battery claim.

The actor starred in the Netflix series for five seasons before he was fired in 2017.Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mel Red Recana made the ruling earlier this week, confirming an award that had been decided by an arbitrator last year.

Disgraced actor Kevin Spacey might want to cancel that ticket to the Queen’s Jubilee — British authorities are bringing criminal charges against him on four counts of sexual assault against three men, the country’s Crown Prosecution Service announced on Thursday. However, Spacey cannot be formally charged unless he enters England or Wales and no plans for extradition have been publicly disclosed.Spacey, 62, had “also been charged with causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent,” according to Rosemary Ainslie, head of the service’s special crime division.According to the news release, the charges stem from three alleged incidents dated March 2005, August 2008 and April 2013.
