Grag Queen has been announced as the host of Drag Race Brasil. First announced in December 2022, the forthcoming spin-off will be the first series in the ever-expanding Drag Race to be in Portugese, as well as the fourth series in the Americas region after the U.S., Chilean, Canadian and Mexican series.

In 2021, Grag Queen memorably conquered the first season of Queen of the Universe, winning $250,000 (converted to just under 1.4 million Brazilian Real) – the highest ever total for a drag-centric competition series.

On 12 July, Paramount Plus confirmed Grag Queen as the host on their socials with a fierce promotional photo, with the star commenting (translated to English): “THAT’S RIGHT!

The Queen of the Universe is the host of the first #DragRaceBrasil in HISTORY! […] Warm up your engines and your hearts!” She continued: “The world will celebrate that BRAZILIAN excellence!” Grag Queen first discussed the possibility of a Brazilian Drag Race in a 2021 interview with GAY TIMES, where she said would “love” to follow in the footsteps of Brooke Lynn Hytes and make the switch from contestant to host. “I feel like Brooke Lynn Hytes is running Canada’s Drag Race so well and I think – promotion time! – I have something very cool to be among those judges.
