The popular queer graphic novel Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me is set to get a film adaptation with Tommy Dorfman attached.
According to a report from Deadline, the 13 Reasons Why star has signed on to direct and executive produce the film adaptation under her production company, Down The Line Productions.
Mariko Tamaki, author of the novel, is set to write the screenplay – with Wilding Pictures and LA’s MXN Entertainment co-producing the film.
Like its 2019 graphic novel counterpart, the coming-of-age story will follow Frederica “Freddie” Riley as she navigates her on-again-off-again relationship with Laura Dean.
