Ashley Park Reveals Why She Was Hesitant to Date Boyfriend Paul Forman, Says Co-Star Lily Collins Noticed Their Chemistry Early On
Ashley Park is opening up about meeting now boyfriend Paul Forman. The 33-year-old actress and the 30-year-old actor met while working on the Netflix series Emily In Paris, but she wasn’t looking to date him, at least not at first.
In a new interview, Ashley revealed why and how their co-star, and her real life BFF, Lily Collins noticed their chemistry. She was like, ‘Ashley, what is going on?’ And I replied, ‘Nothing. I told you I wasn’t dating actors.’ It was the first time I was really standing up for myself,” Ashley recalled. “I told her, ‘Lily, your disbelief in my growth is sad, because he’s the exact type of guy that I said I wasn’t going to go for.
I told you, and so I really want you, as my friend, to believe me.’ …So I had to do a little loss-of-dignity tour. I had to be like, ‘Lily, everyone, we are so in love.’ That was about two years ago.” Ashley and Paul actually attended their first event together as a public couple earlier this year!
