Daniel Craig has officially signed on to tackle the leading role in Luca Guadagnino's upcoming film adaptation of the 1985 novel titled, Queer, reported Deadline.
The 54-year-old actor will portray the shy and insecure character of William Lee, as he recounts his life in Mexico City where he pursues a discharged American Navy serviceman named, Eugene Allerton.
After no longer being a part of the Bond franchise, the star recently opened up about the iconic spy, and revealed he had suggested his character's death after the 2006 premiere of Casino Royale.
