Duterte on Nov. 24 signed the appointment papers of Evasco as Presidential Adviser on Streamlining of Government Processes, with the rank of Secretary, said Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque.
told reporters Evasco was Duterte's former Cabinet Secretary. He resigned from his post in 2018 to run for governor of his home province in Bohol.
He lost in last year's election. "His familiarity with the present bureaucracy would contribute greatly in his new task of streamlining government processes in the Executive," Roque said.
