The first photos from the highly-anticipated musical The Big Gay Jamboree have been released! Titanique creator Marla Mindelle is returning to the New York stage in the new show, which she co-wrote with fellow book writer Jonathan Parks-Ramage and fellow songwriter Philip Drennen. Margot Robbie is among the producers bringing the show to the stage and Marla recently told the story about how the Barbie star became attached to the project. Alex Moffat, Paris Nix, Constantine Rousouli, and Natalie Walker also star in the musical, which is currently in preview performances.
The official opening night is on September 30. The Big Gay Jamboree centers on Stacey (Mindelle), who after blacking out from 18 Jägerbombs, wakes up hungover in the most terrifying place of all: an Off-Broadway musical.
With no memory of how she got there, Stacey is forced to put her BFA in theater to use, belt her face off, and figure out how the hell she’s gonna escape this 1940′s golden age musical…while a live audience watches.
