Kit Connor has been cast in the lead role for the upcoming horror film One of Us. According to Deadline, the “allegorical” film follows members of a family who “begin dying one by one at a funeral, while Youngest (Connor) searches for the stranger in their midst.” Set to begin filming in Belfast, Northern Ireland, later this month, One of Us will also star Callum Woodhouse (The Durrells), Charlotte Hope (The Spanish Princess), Siobhan Fallon-Hogan (Rushed) and Ian Beattie (Game Of Thrones).

The film is helmed by the Jung School and Northern Ireland Screen, and is the debut of writer-director Stefan van de Graaf. Best known for roles in Get Santa, Rocketman, Little Joe and His Dark Materials, Connor gained worldwide recognition last year for playing Nick Nelson in Netflix’s beloved teen drama Heartstopper.

Connor, who won the Children’s and Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Performance in 2022 for the character, will return in the forthcoming second season, set to premiere sometime in 2023.

He will also star in A Cuban Girl’s Guide to Tea and Tomorrow, based on Laura Taylor Namey’s best-seller, alongside Maia Reficco and Kate del Castillo.
